Oh hi there,

I'm

I'm 28 years old, I was born and raised in Rockford, Illinois where I currently live with my fiancé and our Pit mix rescue Tiana.
I'm always doing something creative or artsy. I love trying to find new things to learn and get inspired by.

How did

Sewing?

I start

I grew up a creative kid—always trying new crafts and hobbies—but nothing ever stuck quite like sewing. My mom sewed constantly when I was little: Halloween costumes, Girl Scout patches, alterations for friends and family. I wanted to learn too, so she started me with scrunchies and hair bows. By high school, I was making and selling bows to classmates because I loved it that much. I also grew up dancing (something I still love), which led me into my high school’s theatre program. I started helping with choreography and eventually found my way into costumes because I already knew how to sew. Fast forward to community college: the theatre I had admired my whole childhood—RVC Starlight Theatre—was right on campus. I walked into the costume shop to ask about volunteering. They asked if I was a student and if I could sew (yes and yes), and by the end of the conversation they offered me a job. That day changed my life. RVC Starlight Theatre is where I discovered my true passion for sewing. I met people who shaped me—friends, mentors, and lifelong inspirations. I grew in skill, confidence, and creativity. I eventually became a resident designer and staff member, serving as the lead technician and pattern maker for several years. After a decade, though, I felt it was time for a new chapter. I’ve always loved teaching and helping others, and I wanted to build something of my own. Now it’s 2025. I’m 28 years old, and I’ve left my theatre job to start my own business. I’m excited to collaborate with others, create patterns, and bring my own designs to life. I’m endlessly grateful for the sewing journey that brought me here—and for wherever it leads next.
